Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

KamiKode is the controller of the personal data described here. Our main office is at Jamous St, Hadat, Beirut, Lebanon, and we also have an office at Abo Mousa Bldg., Nasser Square, Baalbek, Lebanon. You can reach us at info@kamikode.com.

2. What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the topic you choose and your message.
• Project briefs: the answers you give in an intake form, which may include business and project details.
• Direct messages: what you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
• Usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies: how you reached the site (for example a search engine, social network, ad or link), the pages and sections you view, the buttons and links you click, whether you send the contact form, and your approximate location (country and city), device, browser and language.

We do not ask for payment card details on this website.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To deliver, support and invoice the services you request.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
• To protect the website against abuse and fraud.
• With your consent, to measure how visitors find and use the website, so we can improve it and our marketing.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

4. Why we may process it

We process personal data with your consent (for example when you send the contact form), to take steps you ask for before a contract and to perform a contract, to comply with the law, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed:

• EmailJS, which delivers contact form and brief submissions to our inbox.
• Render and Neon, which host the internal dashboard where our team keeps a copy of each contact form and brief submission, so we can follow it up and keep track of it.
• Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this website.
• Google Analytics (Google LLC), which measures website usage for us, only if you accept analytics cookies. Google's own privacy policy applies to its processing. We keep ad features and ad personalisation switched off.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us there, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

We may also disclose data when a Lebanese authority or court lawfully requires it.

6. Transfers outside Lebanon

Some of these providers operate servers outside Lebanon. By sending us your data you understand it may be processed there, and we choose providers that apply appropriate security measures.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact. Client and billing records are kept for as long as Lebanese commercial and tax law requires. After that, we delete or anonymise the data.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to:

• Confirm whether we hold your personal data and give you a copy.
• Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
• Stop processing your data, or object to it, on legitimate grounds.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.

Email info@kamikode.com and we will answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and limited access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Cookies and local storage

We use Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) only if you click Accept in the cookie banner. They last up to 2 years and let us count visits and understand where they come from. If you decline or do nothing, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. We do not use advertising cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Declining deletes the Google Analytics cookies from this site. We remember your choice in your browser for 12 months. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline unless you choose otherwise.

So that a visit is credited to the right source even if you accept on a later page, we keep a note of the page you arrived from in your browser for that browsing session. It is sent only if you accept.

If you fill in a project brief, your draft answers are saved in your own browser so you do not lose them. They stay on your device and are cleared when you send the form. Project brief pages never load Google Analytics.

11. Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can fix it. You may also bring a complaint to the competent Lebanese authorities or courts.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will highlight significant changes on this page.
